They are covered with a dense blue-violet peel with medium-sized eyes, under which the white flesh is hidden. The mass of tubers ranges from 100 to 200 grams, and the starch content in them reaches 13-16%.

The Blue Danube potato was developed in Germany at the beginning of the 21st century. Potato variety "Blue Danube", or Blue Danube, refers to vegetables of the medium early ripening period, grown in different countries.

This potato has a table purpose and is characterized by a pleasant taste and aroma. It does not crack or boil over, therefore ideal for preparing salads.

"Blue Danube" easily tolerates drought and does not impose any special requirements on the soil, and is also characterized by high adaptation to a variety of adverse factors.

The shoots of the Blue Danube potato variety are characterized by medium height and a hard stem. They are sturdy, erect shrubs covered with green leaves and yellow flowers with purple corollas. The bushes are very powerful, medium-sized, leafy, prevent weeds from growing through them.

When creating this variety, the well-known high resistance to most diseases was used potato called "Sarpo Mira". It is extremely resistant to damage. and diseases such as scab, black leg, fusarium, Y-virus, some types of nematodes, potato mosaic, anthracnose, oosporosis and late blight.
